my phone case came today. it smells really bad and feels weird and i think the design might melt off. it’s cute though i guess. and it was heckin’ cheap so whaddya expect.

so the day before yesterday i wore this top that i’ve had for about eleven years and i wanted to take a photo and make a joke about how a large part of my wardrobe is stuff i’ve had since middle school. so i took this photo and was like, eh, let’s try another. i had my phone resting in our chalkboard’s little chalk/eraser cubby (where we keep our mail and keys) with the timer on. i grabbed it and moved some envelopes around to try and position the phone differently and a HUGE SPIDER RAN OUT FROM BEHIND THE MAIL. i had never seen a spider that big irl that wasn’t in a glass case, and i didn’t get a good enough look to see if it was a brown recluse, which i’ve never seen before. so i stood there crying until anthony got out of the shower and found the little creep and killed it. it was a wolf spider, which are poisonous but not deadly or aggressive (apparently). nonetheless i still haven’t touched the chalkboard and i am afraid to touch anything in the house anymore because “we live in the middle of the forest and big spiders live here too and you need to deal with it”. sigh. and i really was getting better with spiders. i’ve seen a bunch since living here and none have sent me into a panic or even had me gasp. this jerk was huge and frickin ran at me and now i’m back at square one. urgh.
